UniSoma consolidates its internationalization strategy with projects in Uruguay (Pulp and Paper), Argentina (Cement) and South Africa (Animal Production).

– UniSoma will participate in the LogisTI forum, on the 13th and 14th of June 2012

UniSoma will present a success case during the LogisTI forum, on the 14th of June, at the Senac campus in São Paulo. The case will be presented by the Planning Manager of Flora and describes the logistic gains obtains from the implementation of IBM's LogicNet as a tactical and strategical planning support tool for its production chain.

– UniSoma and CAT² have joined strengths and experiences in animal production

CAT², based in the USA, and UniSoma have joined their strengths. In the animal production area, CAT² has vast experience in control, monitoring and traceability for field and plant operations, and UniSoma with nearly 30 years of experience in optimized chain planning innovations.

– UniSoma will participate in the AMI 2012 EXPO in Dallas, from 1st to 3rd of May 2012

The AMI Expo will host 1.200 exhibitors and 25.000 participants in Dallas, promoting networking and discussions on innovative solutions for planning, processing, transport, quality control and technology in the animal production area. UniSoma and CAT² will have a stand in order to demonstrate their experiences and solutions in the animal production planning area.

– UniSoma in its journey!

Eufraten, founded in March 1987 in Campinas-SP, is a non-profit foundation with social-educational goals towards children, adolescents and adults, with free care at deprived areas of Campinas. Its proposal is to educate through self knowledge, known as the Heulosofic Pedagogy. This pedagogy is applied through artistic, cultural and sporting workshops, offered weekly at its units. Its objective is to develop the potential in each person, stimulating self knowledge, ethics and citizenship. The Eufraten foundation is supported by UniSoma in its journey! – UniSoma sponsors 4th Pit Stop

UniSoma is sponsoring this year's Pit Stop Supply Chain which will be held in São Paulo on the 21st and 22nd of March. A JBS company case will be presented describing how it was possible to obtain significant profit margin gains through the integration of decision making processes and the use of optimization tools supporting supply chain planing.

– BSC - Benefits with Optimized Wood Transportation Planning

From February/2012, BSC has been operating OTTMA (Optimized Tactical Wood Transportation System) developed by UniSoma to generate the monthly Plant supply plans of celulose. Pay back analysis conducted during the project indicated a transportation cost reduction of 5%.

– ISO 9001:2001 Ceritification

Another step was taken towards the continuous improvement of UniSoma's work. We started the year receiving the news that ABTN certified UniSoma for the ISO 9001:2008, confirming our commitment and quality in providing services.

– Consumer goods S&OP tool

Flora, a J&F company, owner of famous brands Minuano, Assim, Albany and OX, selected UniSoma and IBM to implement a tactical chain planner tool. The challenge is to generate optimized plans within the 2 month project period.
